I'm using a Beige g3 desktop (266) recently my mouse/cursor got all stuttery..then yesterday, the monitor chattered and went black.
another monitor made no difference. i can hear the machine respond to keyboard commands (start up, shut down) but no video it's using the built in video out... so i am wondering if a third party PCI video card might be the thing to try? any ideas appreciated (and yes i tried starting without extensions, from a system cd, and after command-option-p-r...none works) does it sound like the video driver went dead or is the whole machine dying? any ideas? i have lots of data on this machine that i MUST get out (naturally!) thanks w2 -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
