G3reetings Question 1. With OS 9.1 on a G3/300 DT, the top menu bar Special - Shut Down as often as not freezes the whole works. It doesn't matter whether or not I have any applications active at the time. I have to use the Cmd-Cntrl-Pwr Key to reboot and then Shut Down via the Pwr Key. Anyone else experiencing/experienced this problem? Solutions? Sidenote - TechTool Pro has repeatedly found that the Apple Menu Options Prefs file is corrupted so I've finally trashed that. Interestingly, some aliases disappeared from the new Apple menu setup and needed re-doing; Simpletext (colour version) for example disappeared and for a while refused to run from its repeatedly new alias in the Apple menu - Error Type 2.
Question 2. Quite some time ago, advice was offered via this digest on how to save RealPlayer sound files for replaying without having to connect again to the 'Net.
