So it's supposedly a feature :-)

BTW, the printer in question here is a HP Deskjet 950c, and even though I
now have installed the software, that message still pops up, and I can't
get to choose the printer in the Chooser either.

The story of this printer is that my friend, who owns it, put in a new
cartridge and then it stopped working, claiming that it was an unoriginal
cartridge.

Any ideas?
