I was informed today that the HP software / Driver 9.4 (last update 1999) Deskjet 870cxi and the Momentum uConnect USB to Serial port (v5 extension) are not supported by Mac OS 9.2.1 on a B&W G3 350 and unlikely to in the future. Sounds as though its incompatible on two fronts.
Solution: New printer, Due to unavailability of consumables for specialised printers in Wexford it will have to be a fairly 'run of the mill' machine. They tend to have a full working life of three years and I got five. no doubt one of the lads will give it a home. I've never heard a mac supplier here recommend a Canon usually Epson. Has anyone else noticed how these thing problems tend to materialise after ink cartridges are replaced? OK! yes the system change was to blame.
