I have been getting major errors on Norton's Disk Doctor when I boot from OS X to OS
9. It
does cause problems of various kinds and the major errors are real. I originally
updated
to 10.1.4 and had problems printing. Updating to 10.1.5 did not help, as I still could
not
get it to print after trying various solutions, even using Print Center Repair
utility. So I
decided to just erase everything and just reinstall to 10.1.3 and all my printing
resumed.

I don't know if a clean install of 10.1.5 might have been better than updating from
10.1.4
to 10.1.5, as sometimes it does but it seems that I hear of a lot of problems with
10.1.5
but, of course, there are always those see a lot of improvements. Although the
original
Beige G3 seems to have it's share of problems using OS X. It would be nice to buy a
newer G4 but they are too expensive and an iMac is not an option to me, as I like
having
PCI slots.

I have a Beige G3 converted to 466 motorola 544mb RAM and OS 10.1.3 runs pretty good,
aside from this major error problem when booting back to OS 9. I wonder if other Beige
G3 users are experiencing similar problems.
