Hmmm. I think I also had to re-install once when a system update (10.1.2?) went wrong (my own doing though -- I crashed Internet Exploder 5.1.2(?) half way through the install (this was when certain Flash sites could cause Exploder to actually Explode the whole computer... that was fixed in 5.1.3 (I think... the site no longer explodes)). PS Explorer is the *only* app that has ever taken down OS X for me (it was repeatable, and always happened loading a particular page with Flash content)) PSS Have I mentioned that I despise Flash, and the way it's now being used for adverts every which where (I'd be quite happy to have a micropayment system which would charge, say, 5 cents per page or so, instead of being subjected to a barrage of advertising (& I will go out of my way to avoid advertisers when the advertising is blatant, and the site is not a small operator like LowEndMac.net or XLR8YourMac.com) Eech.
