Hey all: Awhile back I upgraded my Beige G3 266 with a G4 450 ZIF from OWC. I bought the Mach software from XLR8 and installed it. I got it installed fine in OS 9 but was unable to install it for X because I was unable to install X on my machine (for reasons that are too long to go into here).
So today I finally got X working but it seemed slow. I tried to install the Mach software for X, but it won't allow me to select my X disk. Before I contact the XLR8 tech support people, I'd like to ask if it's necessary to install software to get the caches working in X. I seem to recall it was only necessary for OS 9. Is that true? -Mick -- -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
