I havent been able to find this info so maybe someone here can offer advice from experience.
Q: Does the Mac Radeon < not 7000 > / PCI use a software decoder or a hardware decoder <on card-like the rage in a B&W> to play DVD's ? I have an ATI rage w/DVD daughter card and a Voodoo5 in my B&W G3-400 rev2 and since the V5 is becomming more and more outdated -not that there is any other choice in PCI cards(but one)- Im thinking on dumping both for a Radeon Mac Edition 32mb/pci. ..since in reality the V5 64mb is more card than I need/can use anyway.
