If it is a standard IDC ribbon cable with the usual style connectors, 
it's easy enough to buy a pair of crimp-on IDC connectors and a good 
length of ribbon cable and make your own. If the connectors are 
non-standard you are stuck and will probably have to buy one from an 
Apple Service dealer at a price.

Unfortunately I don't have my B&W G3 yet to have a look at it (hell, 
I haven't paid the guy for it yet!!) but I don't remember any hairy 
non-standard ribbons in my last B&W but it's been 6 months since I 
sold it.
