try running a disk utility like norton, or making the desktop files
visible and trashing them, they can become so corrupt that they can't be
rebuilt.  if that doesn't work, you probably need either more cooling,
or to step down a notch on the overclocking, it's likely one of those,
but it's worth trying the desktop trash first.  if lowering the clock
fixes it, you have your answer.
