Try reseting the motherboard with the cuda button, it's beside the PCI riser, and is marked reset, or at least it is on my Beige. Turn off the computer and unplug it, then hold the button down for 10 seconds. It's amazing how many weird behaviours are resolved by a motherboard reset.
