This is not a bash, please don't take it as such, but I don't 
understand why people insist on wasting 10GB for an old OS. All you 
need is 1 GB for your system and preferences, do the same of 9.2.2 
(which isn't necessary)  and then the rest for your Applications, 
Documents, etc. Also, yes you do need that <8 GB drive for X on the 
front.
