Actually my friends PC have never worked properly. It's a brand new 1200
mhz Celeron, and she claims it's slow! Also produces random freezes and
crashes, and sometimes has to be booted several times to start up. Had some
bad ram too, so it's hard to say what screwed it.

Guess I'll leave that drive alone. Too bad, sort of had my mind set on a
cheap CD-RW...
