indeed, and if enough people actually wind up caring, i'm sure someone
will hack it, just as os 9 has been very effectively  hacked to work on
machines it's not supposed to work on now.  i'm sure people will also
continue to hack x to work on "unauthorized" machines as well,
particularly since being largely open source it lends itself well to
such hacking.
