I really don't know about the beige G3, but I have been told when inquiring about buying one that the DVR-A04 and the DVR-A03 will not work in a B&W G3 because of mobo constraints. An external DVD/RW would probably work, or so they told me, but only with third party apps, not iDVD. If anyone with more information can contradict this, I would like to hear it because I'm going to ride this horse just a little longer before I put it out to pasture and I would like to have that drive in my B&W.
