Dani & Harley9/25/02 4:19 [EMAIL PROTECTED] and with CC, you can double click
the icon with the
"X" on it and start up will pause and a screen will open and will show you
which program it is. The space bar will then continue start up. Have you
tried to just double click the icon to see if that's not a feature that's
unique to CC? You mention throwing out "preferences" didn't help, that
probably wouldn't help if the extension was corrupted. You should check the
disabled extensions folder or check to see which icons match the one with
the X through it and then pull that extension. Somehow, it is corrupted or
it is in conflict with another program. If you don't have conflict catcher,
you might want to try downloading a demo or getting it. It's well worth the
money spent and with the Mac Care Unit Disk you get Disk Warrior, Chaos
Master, Plus Optimizer, Virus Barrier, Net Barrier, Copy Agent, and of
course Conflict Catcher 9. It's an all in one utilities disk that I've used
many times to straighten out disk problems and has been a real blessing.
