Thanks ALL for the inputs I finally bit the bullet and reinstalled Jag using the Clean Install Option and trashed the Previous Systems Folder Files my way **( I stay away from ROOT) Now all is normal using 6D52. Also, my external SCSI Yamaha 8x4x24 is now fully supported and recognized as a CD-RW in the ASP. Glad Apple guys fixed that! For us "old timers", SCSI seems to be a dirty word in the New Apple World lexicon of G4s!! I find that Apple initial releases always seem to ignore SCSI volumes; leaving it up to the "patchers" to fix. What held me up was that initially , in installing X , I had to first remove my SCSI PCI Adaptec PD2960U card. But when in doubt READ THE xxxxxx MANUAL. In the Read Me First installation instructions- small print -it essentially says "--that if you have a third party SCSI card installed , terminate with a hard drive--". I rounded up an external SCSI drive from my backup 7600 setup and configured same with my Burner and Scanner and the 6D42 build. The string worked OK and the drive was even bootable( good old Adaptec Engineering-is the best) The Jag two disc installation was then successfully completed . albert ** Booted into 9.2.2; opened 10.2.1 Files, dragged contents of Previous Systems Folder from 10.2.1 to Trash; Empty Trash; booted back into 10.2.1 ; done. The last time I went into ROOT to play around , I destroyed everything!!! -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
