Powerlogix never guaranteed their upgrades to work for digital audio. XLR8 was one of the only companies that ever tested and approved their upgrades for use with Protools, Logic, Cubase, etc..
Oh and Logic my friend, works very well with the Altivec engine as does Photoshop.
