Hello G-Listers, In searching for a CDRW for my Beige DT running Jag, I found a low-cost Liteon model CR LI LTR0125S. According to the company website there are 4 firmware revisions for this year (2002). What if any difference will it make? I have 30 days to return the unit to the local dealer, but I'm not sure if I need an RMA or not (this dealer's policy on returns seems to be a 'work in progress'). I can also get an LG GCE-8400B via private sale (on the local NG) but with a one year mfr's warrantee but if there's no proof of dealer purchase - will the factory honor their own warrantee? I've looked through xlr8yourmac many times - jotted down some models and brands, but the selection hereabouts for Mac-compatible devices is scanty, and the few Apple dealers charge way too much. I have to buy from a peecee store. Thx George (Montreal)
