At the risk of sounding philosophical, what would have happenned had the drive not worked and you needed an RMA to get your money back? I can just see the mfr. saying it's not meant to work on a Mac so no refund. But I'm glad you got it working. Still don't understand why Liteon has four firmware revisions for the 40125S in less than 12 months; i.e. sometimes you see the revision number in xlr8yourmac, most often not. And, of course, you need a PC to flash. Rant over, George
