Dunno if this applies to Belkin, but my IOgear USB card specifies use in
the first slot in a Beige (didn't try it elsewhere, but IIRC other posts
indicated trouble when put in #2 or #3.) My card did not work initially,
but downloading USB support from Apple fixed it. EricB
