make up your mind afterswift! you seem to have a number of dispirit
personalities who are each using different hardware and software. i
suggest a huggy jacket and some thorazine, stat (i don't think the tin
foil is working any more!).

use intel processors? now there's a joke, intel wanted to ditch the
grossly outdated and over stretched x86 architecture after the original
pentium, and had even announced as much. unfortunately, unlike apple
who have successfully migrated to new processors microsoft wasn't up to
the job and forced poor intel to make more and more silly and
inefficient processors. apple has consistently used some of the best
processors available, which is part of why a mac usually cost more than
a pc box. even ibm, when they came out with the original pc considered
using the 68k processor because it was far superior, but chose the x86
architecture for supply reasons. ibm was willing to build a lesser
machine cheaper for more monkeys, apple wanted to build a better machine
for slightly less hairy primates even if it meant charging more and
making fewer.

oh, by the way, another brilliant reason for apple to go to osx is that
it will make future migrations much, much easier. perhaps even to intel
chips, but most likely to their good risc chips, not the retarded
pentiums which are superb only in their ability to generate heat and
electrical noise.

why with osx apple can even migrate to other more exotic processors for
the higher end machines, while maintaining compatibility with lower end
machines using the same os and third party software. os x was a
brilliant move.

i think your orientation is clear, it's not toward the end user, it's
toward microslough and their poor L(users) who you don't want to be
elevated to people who actually enjoy using a computer, where as most pc
users spend allot of time working on their computer rather than with it!

will the real lessthanswift please stand up, please stand up?

"For six years, John O'Neill was the FBI's leading expert on Al Qaeda.
He warned of it's threat to the U.S. But to the people at FBI
headquarters, O'Neill was too much of a maverick, and they stopped
listening to him. He left the FBI in the summer of 2001 and took a new
job as head of security at the World Trade Center."
<http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/knew/>. Why did 911
happen? Politics, in the broad sense and at the FBI, that's what makes
it a tragedy in the truest sense. O'Neil's body was found in the
stairwell of what had been the south tower.
