Not true. All IX Micro cards including the Ultimate Rez are supported in Mac OS X. 
Read the Mac OS X Read Me and it will note that Mac OS X requires an Apple provided 
video card from ATi, IX Micro, or Nvidia. I do not believe that IX Micro cards receive 
video accelleration but it is supported and should drive a monitor just fine.
