First of all, because my B&W G3 is aging now I cannot play every game anymore I throw at it, second of all the games in the future will be much heavier (UT 2003, DOOM III) and last of all not all games I want to play are available for the Mac. Therefor I will build a PoC for gaming only. I'm going for an Asus KT400 mobo (AMD) with an Athlon XP 2400+ 2.2 GHz CPU and a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 w/ 128 MB DDR. I will still use the Mac for every other thing (after all my daily job is on a G4 933) and I am not bashing Apple at all, it's just that it's cheaper to build a fast gaming machine with 'Dark Side' parts. * * -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
