Dazzle is a usb video input which isn't a very good quality system.
I had no luck getting video input working from my DVD A/V card since it doesn't seem to work with rev 1 or 2 mother boards. There were three A/V personality cards for Beige machines. None give nearly the quality results you would get with a DV firewire input, for which iMovie is designed. I had to buy a canon zr40 video camera which has the ability to convert outboard analog video to DV video in real time. I had to get a firewire pci board and boost the computer from 133 megahertz to 466 (and G4 which helps too.) I also finally bought a superdrive which will burn DVDs using iDVD. Now my ancient Beige minitower is a real video studio and the results are stunning. Ain't cheap but if you are going to do the work of converting valuable videos to digital, it's worth it.
