Hello Let me give you the bad news about Quartz on non G4 / AGP machines I installed the PCI Radeon 7000 Mac Edition on my B&W/ G4 using X.2.1( wanted S video capability for DVD playback to TV) Installed the "hack" for Quartz Extreme Using SpeedRun, Graphics; W/O hack 228 With Hack 68 Making a long story short and reading all related posts on list ; my personal conclusion bullets: * PCI bus on G3 machines is not fast enough ( bandwidth) for proper QE operation (graphics) * Graphics performance with Hack is degraded by a factor of ~3 *Do not use the Quartz patch.
