Let me inform you of what I did on my B&W Yosemite I also do not play games When I upgraded the stock G3 350 CPU to a 500, I went for the G4 since it was only $25 more. No other reason since "speed" would be the same ( per list info) for the G3 or G4. Just my personal view; if the price is right , go for the top of the line even though you don't need it now but maybe later ( just like in automobiles) I went for the PCI Radion 7000 , 32MB Mac edition , driving my primary VGA monitor , only for the S video out capability so I can view DVDs on an external TV. I gave this up because its a pain in that I have to disconnect the VGA monitor to get a display on the TV. The Radion fine print tells you that this card cannot support both a VGA monitor and a TV at the same time, even if the VGA monitor is turned off. I did not read this before I purchased the card. if I did ,I most likely would not have bought it!. Win a few-lose a few. I moved the PCI stock ATI Rage Pro 128, 16mb card to another PCI slot and am driving a second 15" VGA monitor. Do not really need it, but its nice to have : I use it to permanently display/ work e-mail , while I use the primary 17"monitor to surf the web and/or play with down loaded images from my Minolta video camera and process/print same using either Graphic Converter ( the best) or iPhoto applications. If you believe SpeedRun. I measured no significant speed difference in Graphics between the Radion 7000 and the stock ATI Rage Pro 128. My advice, and only my opinion If you do not play games, keep the stock ATI in place, and buy another one ( or an equivalent mac compatible video card) on e-bay for your second monitor As for the CPU upgrade; go for the G4 albert albert -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
