and larger HD issues. I upgraded to a 7200rpm maxtor 60Gig (along with a total
of 640 MEGS of RAM recently) back in January running 10.1.5 and 9.2 and have had
no problems like the ones that been mentioned. 9.2, in particular loads faster
than it ever has since the upgrade (especially with the extra RAM) My RAM
situation is like this:
DIMM0/J19 64MB PC100
DIMM1/J20 64MB PC100
DIMM2/J21 256MB PC100
DIMM3/J22 256MB PC133

You may also want to make sure that the hard drive itself is not messed. My
60 Gig was the second one that I had bought, for the first one was riddled
with bad blocks (OS X would not restart properly after the install, and OS 9
was acting flaky to i.e. Programs quiting for no explained reason. I
replaced that drive with another and it has been flawless ever since. I hope
this helps in any way.
