I think you miss understood the point of my statements quoted below. 
Also if you return to look at my original post you will see that I said 
that in-spite of the fact that many answers to troubleshooting can be 
more readily found else where we should continue to help and advice 
people, then I go on to state that this scenario is much like 
discussing topics our list members are interested in.

If people are going to ask if the newest version of Norton System Works 
is compatible with Mac OS X with out even looking at the Norton website 
then I see little difference between that and some one asking what Mac 
users [list members] know about Lindows. Both are seeking information 
about things they could readily find somewhere else. Neither of these 
cases is outlandish or unreasonable, its not like its an extreme case 
of someone asking for advice buying skis.
