This is a list for Power Mac G3 and G4 users ... OK, well then I can run SuSE on my Beige G3 and write here, and I can run Photoshop on it and write here, and I can ask questions about the interaction of different software with it. Fact is at this point we could be anal and say that iMac users need not apply, nor PowerBook G3/G4 or iBook users, because as the line says "Power Mac G3, G4, and Cube users." This had been one of the better discussions on this list in the past several months. Amiga is back making G3 and G4 based computers, they aren't Macs, they don't run Mac OS, can we talk about them here? What about the Power Computing model that shipped with a G3 in it before Apple got the Beige G3s out, can we talk about them? It is Mac compatible but not a Mac ... Seriously people, open your mind, realize that if we treat Macintosh as though there was nothing else then there will not be Macintosh after awhile, the strength of Mac OS X and other UNIX platforms such as Linux is their ability to work with others ... we should do so also. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
