Assuming you have OS9.x, on the Apple menu select "Apple System Profiler"
and then the "Devices and Volumes" tab which will tell you what you have.
Lots of other useful things to know about your machine here.

You can have up to 7 SCSI devices, the number of IDEs (without an extra IDE
card) is limited, depending on version.
