Thanks Rich, & G'day from Oz The usb card freezing is SPECIFIC to beige G3 rev A roms, running 9.x up, & occasionally 8.6.
It occurs with the majority of usb, & usb/FireWire combo cards. No other Macs affected!!!! Fixes are either a choice of a few expensive cards, or a replacement B or C rom No bloody thanks to Apple.
