Almost every standards-compliant USB card will work with the Mac OS drivers (to some extent), just as virtually all Bluetooth adapters will work with OS X. There may be exceptions which use an unusual chipset that may not work. But, rather than speculate on whether it is or isn't working, why not borrow a friends USB Apple keyboard or mouse and see if it works?
