I took my old firewire CD-RW burner and removed the case and as expected
found a Sony CD-RW IDE drive. I removed it and I plan to install it in my
brother's G4/450 (AGP) tower. I now have an empty case and what I would
like to know is if it's feasible to install my brothers stock DVD player
into the firewire case. I want to use it myself. Will it work properly in
a firewire case or is the firewire too slow? Also would I need drivers for
it since it's now acting like a firewire device? Thanks in advance for the
help.

Installing any version of Windows on your computer is like getting ready for
a crash test and you're the dummy.
