G'day from Oz, Oyumeen

If you could, I'd suggest upgrading to 9.2.2.

At lot of my G3 problems disappeared when I did it, long ago. Big
improvement.

The problem is getting it. Apple don't sell it, nor support it any more.

In my personal opinion, that makes it fair game (in Oz, that means just
get an illegal copy, and use it).

I've just installed jaguar, and you have to go through a complicated
process just to get a copy of 9.2.2 to use Classic, so I'm lucky I
already had it.

Jag is very, very nice, but meant a new printer & scanner, and probably
now a 500 mhz Ziff and Radeon 7000 video card. Pretty slow on a 233 beige DT

Glad I did though, the hardware is a vast improvement, and will go with
the 19" iMac that I'd like when they eventually arrive (I reckon 2-3 years)

Still, a new iMac would have meant printer & scanner anyway, and been
far more expensive.

Regards

Santa
