Albert, You might try removing just the front part of the tray (should just be clipped on, check it from the underside while tray is ejected) that mates with the face of the CD-RW when closed. No Dremel needed. Mine comes right off (have a LaCie/Matshita CD-RW as well in my B&W). Good luck.
