Well, Norton Antivirus would be a logical choice (as if logic would come into such a ridiculous situation...), since they'll be familiar and comfortable with it even though you have this weird and dangerous machine on their network ;-) You gotta placate these willfully ignorant, superstitious Windows admins or they'll burn your heretical computer at the stake. That said, if you're running OS 9 or lower, firewalls are a complete waste of time and money and antivirus software nearly so. (If you use MS Word, then you do have a problem with macro viruses, but otherwise there is no reason to use AV software on a Mac..there just arent any viruses in the wild affecting them.) If you're running OS X, and it's right out of the box, just be sure to keep up on any security updates Apple put sout and you should be fine. If you're allowing remote logins, then use ssh not telnet, and don't enable anonymous ftp without a very very good reason. No network hack can be launched through your Mac running os 9 or lower. I have a Performa 6214 sitting under my desk (running 8.6) acting as a web server that I ignore for weeks and weeks on end, something you can be sure we do not do with our NT or Unix based servers...it's pretty much bulletproof, hacker proof, and virusproof. But as I said...you gotta placate the neanderthals because they've got power over you.
