Maybe you guys and gals can help me with this one: I have a B&W G3 with 3 working RAM modules:
256MB PC133-333 7.5ns from OWC 128MB PC100-323 7.5ns from Apple 64 MB PC100-332 10.0ns from Apple, these last two came with this B&W Everything works fine in 9.2.2 and 10.2.2 and I can boot from the Jaguar CD. Recently I got another 256MB PC133-333 7,5ns from a Dutch reseller. Now if I install this module together with the other three modules booting from the Jaguar CD crashes. But if I only have this new DIMM in the Jag CD boots fine. The problem is the OWC DIMM, because installing this one besides the new DIMM will crash the boot procedure. Also if I install this OWC DIMM, which I have for about a year now, in anything else than the first slot I will get a message like 'there's a problem with the memory, connect blablabla.' But if it is in the first slot it works together with every other module only the Jag CD will not boot if I add the new DIMM. So I guess I cannot do anything about it since the new module is not bad (I tried DimmFirstAid, RAMChecker and TTP by the way to test all modules). Is there still a garantee on the OWC DIMM? If not I think I'll keep it in and yank it when I have to boot off the Jag CD, which one doesn't have to do daily. Or I can get 4x 256 MB PC133 CAS2 modules... Anyone experience with Dane-Elec (Hyundai) modules BTW? Also while both 256MB DIMMs have the same speed I noticed a speed increase (like opening folders) when I installed the new DIMM by itself; installing the OWC 256 DIMM slowed it down a bit, is that possible? * * -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
