Lil,
I have a folder on my desktop with aliases to AOL-IE-NS prefs folders solely
for trashing prefs. Note: Make sure IE or AOL is not open when you do this.

Path is sys fldr->prefs-> Explorer (folder)
Here's what I routinely trash in IE:
Downloads.html
History.html
Temporary Files

Path is sys fldr->prefs-> America Online (folder)
Here's what I routinely trash in AOL:
AOL External Prefs
Browser Cache (folder)
  or it's contents ->cache.waf
& sometimes you will see an IE cache.waf too!
Disconnect Log
Download Cache
Session Diagnostics
Temporary Files (folder or it's contents if any)
AOL Link Prefs -this will be there if you crashed and
you will continue to crash til you dump it.

I have no loyalty to the history files.
Bob
