Hello all: Does one of the external SCSI devices happen to be the boot drive for OSX ? Mine is a full height Seagate, with some esoteric termination onboard that my local Mac guru couldn't figure out. Scanner is an older Agfa (no OSX support except Vuescan). I tried to combine both on the external chain - no boot. Went back to old config (just the drive) and now it takes three restarts to boot instead os two (first screen - blank, 2nd - "can't find SCSI bus", 3rd "resetting SCSI bus..." and it finds the SCSI external boot drive (doesn't default to the IDE fully-bootable internal)). At one point the chain was the HDD and a SCSI external CDRW, so chains can exist, but the external port is really the internal port (I don't think there are two physical SCSI buses). Scanners are normally first (in the old days). (I was also using the OSX activated IDE master/slave on the CD-Rom bus, but that's another story.) Mine is a Rev A Beige, 400 MHZ, 768 MB Ram. Is Jag SCSI-friendly - no, I really doubt it. George
