Well, this got me wondering so I turned on my external cd burner with a disk in
it, and my scsi 4 gig drive while in 10.2.3.  Of course they didn't appear on
the desktop.  In 9 all I'd have to do is run Mt.Everything, rescan the scsi bus
and mount what I'd jsut turned on.  No problem.

But there seems to be no such utility for X, like Mt Everything and scsi probe. 
I did a quick search to no avail.

What gives?  Surely there is some Unix software that could have been ported
easily enouth.
