B&W G3 external storage options

I have run all three possibilities on various machines including both 
my B&WG3s (Rev.2).
For simple backup, I'd go for the LaCie USB drive which is probably the 
cheapest way short term, and it is bootable. THe B&W cannot boot off 
Firewire. If you have any older SCSI drive laying around, you can pick 
up a used external case with powersupply for next to nothing  and stick 
it in there. PC dealers have swapable drive housings which can be 
modified to fit such cases, too. I have done this, giving me a hot 
swapable external SCSI drive. Like I said, If you already have the 
drive and are the DIY type, this is the cheapest way to go, and it is 
both dependable and bootable.
