It seems I had mounting problems when I updated to
10.2.3 but these were with my 20 gig SCSI drive
partioned twice but Norton was able find them with
"Disks....show missing disks". It was happening just
about everytime I started the computer. My Maxtor IDE
drive mounted everytime

I tried other things as well like disconnecting the
cable which sometimes helps. I've had mounting
problems in the past with IDE drives. Disconnect your
IDE cable and boot up and reconnect. I've gotten
stubborn CD roms to mount this way. 

Tech Tool, Disk warrior did not help. It almost seems
since I updated to 10.2.4 it stop but it's too soon to
tell. Somtimes things work fine again and you never
know why.
