Hello May I add some remarks to this string When I purchased my XLR8 G4 500/ 1MB ZIF upgrade (new), the package included a CD with the required G3 to G4 Firmware Updater You must have installed : Boot ROM 1.1f4 Open Firmware 3.1.1 To check your machine: Boot up holding down 4 keys; opt-cmd-o-f You see text in the upper left hand corner delineating what you now have installed If you do not have , you may have to surf around the B&W XLR8 and/or Mac ZIF Update sites to find it Let us know if you cannot. Maybe "someone" on this list could figure out some way to get it to you BTW: To escape , just type in "mac-boot" and hit the "return" key Albert B&W Yosemite V1 // XLR8 G4 500/ 1MB ZIF // 1024MB RAM PCI Radeon 7000 driving two Monitors (VGA +Apple Multican) PCI SIG Ultra 133/100 IDE Controller-IBM 60GXP 40GB PCI Adaptec 4300 PCI- FW controlller , driving a LacCie 48x24x48 Burner & OWC Oxford 911 / IBM 40GB GXP HD Epson USB 1260 Photo Scanner OS X.2.3 ,Native Safari Browser -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
