Well, I've just finished one more clean install (NO cache-enabling 
software in sight), another mobo reset and set the jumpers for 458 
mhz at 83 mhz bus speed.  It's seeming very stable, and "feels" 
quicker overall than when I had it at 400mhz and 66 mhz bus speed. 
The machine wouldn't boot at 500 mhz/83 mhz, so I"m gonna leave it 
where it is, pretend I never heard of L2 caches, and enjoy it for 
awhile.
