John, I was having problems with my LAN, which is a B&W connected to an iMac G4/800 via ethernet hub. Both file sharing and internet connection sharing had problems off and on. Some of the hit and miss connections may have been due to previous versions of the OS, but since installing 10.2.4 things are working well. On a couple of occasions, when file sharing wasn't working, I was able to fix it by re-seating the ethernet cable into the B&W. It seemed tight, but maybe wasn't.
