I used it to drop a 30 minute performance I taped onto my hard drive. No problems at all. Of course I didnt get into any editing. All I did was import the movie so I could reuse an old tape, and then watched it through to make sure it was all good. I didnt notice any sluggishness in the performance and everything worked a-ok. Had to go to iMovie after Final Cut Pro kept getting sync errors with my Sony cam.
This was on a Quicksilver 2002 G4 800, 10.2.4, 1.5GB RAM, etc. It was imported to a Maxtor 40GB ATA133 in an ADS Pyro 1394 firewire case. The thing I did find odd was that iMovie worked, but Final Cut Pro sucked! Good thing I got it on an academic discount hah..
