G'day from Oz, all I've been trying to find a way to set up System 9 from Jaguar, using only Apple obtained downloads.
They have all the updates, but no original 9.0. You can't update from any version of 8. What I thought of trying was to ... create a disk image in Jag, install 9.2.2 on it, (9.0 - 9.1 - 9.2.1 - 9.2.2) throw on the installers, burn a CD, boot from the CD, & install / drag on 9.2.2 so Classic can run. Even though Apple don't sell 9.2.2 anymore, the necessary starting point does not seem to be posted. At least one person has a G3 with Jag, but no Classic. My purchase of Jaguar was sans Classic as well. (I'm also aware that recent models of Macs cannot use the old 9.2.2., & will include this info) Does anyone know a workaround that I can put on my site, please http://members.dodo.net.au/~bchristmas/ Regards, & thanks, Santa And what, you ask, was the beginning of it all? And it is this......
