My machine has a SCSI CD burner attached, a PCI USB card installed, and
a Sonnet ATA/133 card. I have two hard drives; an 80GB ATA drive and an
8GB SCSI drive (OS 9 is installed on the SCSI drive). I've also added
memory over the years. I started with the original 32MB, added a 64MB
and then a 256MB. When I purchased the card I pulled the 32 and 64 and
added two more 256MB modules. I've now also pulled the older 256 and
I'll see how it runs with just the two new 256MB modules. I also
reinstalled 10.2 just to see if I could do it without partitioning the
drive since I have the ATA card, which System Profiler says is a SCSI
device, but alas I couldn't install unless I partitioned the drive
again. It'is a pain, but I wanted to make sure I eliminated as many
variables as possible before I possibly return the Zif G4 for a
replacement. I'll see if I get anymore kernel panics over the next few
days.

BTW, I reinstalled 10.2 with the G4 installed, which Sonnet doesn't
recommend. Do you think that was a bad idea? I sure don't want to
reinstall again, but if I have to...
