About every week or two I get a message that says
"You must restart your computer..............."
This has happened on several different machines. iMac (G3), G4 tower, G4 Upgrade and G4 at work.
This is a strange message. I have never heard anyone mention this. Am I the only one who gets this message?

Yeah, I've been seeing them regularly after upgrading to OSX.2.6- everything was rock solid in .5.
They are a kernel panic- the OSX version of a hard crash.
According to my research, they are usually caused by a piece of hardware out of spec- could be ram, could be a video card, sometimes it's software calls, could be drivers, who knows. THe way to find out is to pullout each piece of hardware one at a time until the crashes stop.
Not fun in what used to be a solid machine.
